El Recuerdo comes from the Salaverría family, one of El Salvador’s long-established coffee-producing families. Now in their sixth generation of coffee production, the family works closely with Nordic Approach to separate individual farms and blocks and continuously improve the quality and consistency of their coffees.
This washed coffee is exactly the kind of espresso you’ll want to come back to. Sweet, rounded and elegant, with notes of ripe apples and pears, fruit compote, caramel and brown sugar. Subtle black tea and cashew add a gentle tea-like and nutty character to the cup.
We roasted El Recuerdo for espresso. In the cup, it offers a pleasant body, clean structure and plenty of sweetness, working beautifully both as a straight espresso and in milk-based drinks. An easy-going, balanced coffee with plenty of character and nothing unnecessary.
