Diima Chelchele #7 comes from the highlands of Gedeb, in Ethiopia’s renowned Yirgacheffe region. The coffee cherries for this lot are produced by smallholder farmers at elevations of 1900–2100 masl, where the cooler climate and fertile soils contribute to slow cherry maturation and exceptional cup complexity.
After harvest, only carefully selected ripe cherries are processed using the natural method and dried on raised African beds at the Chelchele processing site. This traditional approach results in a coffee with pronounced fruitiness, a full body, and intense sweetness. The final profile scores 88 points on the cupping scale.
In the cup, you’ll find rich notes of plum, cherry, and blueberry, complemented by a sweet strawberry jam-like character. Floral hints of hibiscus and rose add elegance, while the long finish evokes dark chocolate and caramel fudge. Diima Chelchele #7 is a juicy, complex, and intensely fruity coffee that showcases the distinctive character of Ethiopian natural lots.
