This exceptional Kenyan coffee comes from the renowned Nyeri region and the Gatomboya washing station, where approximately 700 smallholder farmers deliver their coffee cherries. The coffee is grown at an altitude of around 1,770 meters above sea level on fertile volcanic soils, while the cool climate and high elevation create ideal conditions for producing complex and vibrant coffees.
In the cup, it offers a lively and structured profile with notes of redcurrant, white tea, rosehip, and elderflower. These fruity characteristics are complemented by a jam-like sweetness, delicate herbal nuances, and a smooth caramel finish. A bright yet elegant acidity adds juiciness and length to the cup, showcasing the distinctive character that has made Kenyan coffees famous worldwide.
Processed using the washed method, this coffee highlights exceptional clarity, freshness, and complexity. Careful cherry selection, controlled fermentation, and slow drying on traditional African raised beds contribute to a remarkably clean and well-balanced cup. An excellent choice for those who appreciate expressive, fruit-forward specialty coffees with refined acidity.
