Buena Vista #1 comes from Finca El Molino, one of the farms owned and managed by the Salaverria family. This particular tablón — a separately managed block within the farm — sits between 1,400 and 1,700 metres above sea level and combines Anacafé 14, Maragogype and Bourbon varieties.
Processed as a natural, the coffee is sweet, rounded and full-bodied, with a smooth, coating texture. The cup brings notes of cherry, red apple, black plum and yellow raisin, followed by caramel, brown sugar and milk chocolate. Subtle notes of dried citrus and yellow fruit add complexity to the finish.
The coffee is produced by the sixth-generation Salaverria family, who have been growing coffee in El Salvador for generations. Today, the family manages several farms around the Santa Ana volcano and, since 2011, has focused on separating individual tablones according to altitude, variety and quality potential.
Buena Vista #1 reflects this approach: a sweet, fruit-forward natural with a rounded body and a comforting chocolate finish.
