Yulieth Mora represents the third generation of the Mora Ortega family growing coffee at Villa Pastora, a family farm in Palestina, Huila.
At 1,680 metres above sea level, Yulieth and her family focus on producing carefully processed specialty coffees. The farm is also an important part of the local community, employing around eight people and providing fermentation and drying services to neighbouring producers.
This lot is made from Pink Bourbon and processed as a washed coffee. Ripe cherries are handpicked and floated to remove low-density and defective fruit. The cherries are then depulped and fermented for approximately 30 hours before being dried slowly in a drying shed for around 15 days.
The result is a clean and expressive coffee that combines the character of Pink Bourbon with the careful processing and attention to quality that define the Mora family.
