Our Kaew Kamin mangoes come from a family farm in the Phetchaburi area of central Thailand. They have been growing mangoes here for several generations and place great emphasis on sustainable agricultural practices and the preservation of traditional cultivation methods. Here, each mango is hand-picked at the optimal stage of ripeness to ensure the best taste. After harvesting, they carefully sort the fruits and select only the best quality pieces. The Kaew Kamin variety is known for its sweet taste, distinct aroma and deep yellow color. It has a firmer structure that allows for easy drying. Thanks to this, the mango retains its intense flavor even after processing.

We wrapped dried mango slices in our chocolate made from cocoa beans sourced from the Semuliki rainforest. It is located in the west of Uganda and is part of one of the oldest and least disturbed ecosystems in all of Africa. Lattitude buys organic cocoa beans from roughly 1,000 small-scale certified farmers here at a premium price and then processes them centrally. It was founded in 2016 with the mission of conveying the unique taste of Ugandan cocoa to the world and at the same time improving the lives of thousands of local households. Lattitude also provides insurance, financial support and training to farmers as part of its program in a variety of areas from organic farming to financial literacy. It boasts B Corporation certification, which signifies the highest standards of social and environmental sustainability. Thanks to her work, the unique ecosystem of the Semuliki rainforest is being preserved for future generations.
