This limited edition microlot comes from La Parada, a farm owned by first-generation coffee producer Alberto Martinez. Located in Arenosa, Algeciras (Huila, Colombia) at 2000 masl, the farm spans five hectares and is cultivated by Alberto alongside his wife and sons. This particular lot features the prized Geisha variety, known for its delicate florals and complex flavors, and is a testament to the family’s dedication and precise cultivation practices.

Processed using the anaerobic natural method, this coffee offers a strikingly vibrant and layered cup. Expect dominant notes of tropical fruit and kombucha-like acidity, underpinned by the sweetness and warmth of Maraschino liqueur. When hot, the cup presents spicy cherry and violet florals, evolving as it cools into darker tones of balsamic, cacao nibs, and ripe forest berries. This sensory journey is elevated by the meticulous post-harvest techniques and high-altitude growing conditions that define this region of Huila.

La Parada #2 was selected in collaboration with Cuatro Vientos, a family-run sourcing company based in Huila with deep roots in Colombian coffee. Though most of their coffees are traditionally washed, special lots like this anaerobic natural Geisha are produced upon request. With a cupping score of 87.75, this rare and expressive coffee captures the essence of Colombian innovation and terroir—perfect for those seeking an extraordinary and memorable brew.
