This washed lot comes from the farm of Darwin Wesfall Carrillo Domínguez, located in El Coyegual, San Antonio Huista, Huehuetenango. Grown at high altitudes in clay soil under shade trees like Chalun and Gravilea, this coffee thrives in ideal conditions with mild temperatures and abundant rainfall, producing exceptional quality and balance.

Darwin, a second-generation farmer, manages his 0.9-hectare farm together with his wife, Estela. Their dedication to sustainable and careful production is evident at every stage—from selective handpicking and same-day depulping to meticulous fermentation and patio drying. Darwin avoids herbicides, relying instead on manual weed control and natural soil protection methods to maintain a healthy ecosystem.

In the cup, this coffee offers bright notes of green apple and lemon peel, complemented by a smooth chocolatesweetness. It’s a clean and vibrant expression of Huehuetenango’s renowned terroir and Darwin’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
