We love Pink Bourbon coffees when they truly have the characteristics this variety embodies.

Alirio Rodríguez is a third-generation farmer, who has been producing coffee for over three decades. Together with his wife and two sons, he manages his farm and grows mainly .... caturra, pacamara, pink bourbon and castillo varieties.

His farm, El Recreo, is located in the town of La Estrella in the Huilan area of Acevedo. It sits at 1550 masl and is 5 hectares in size. Alirio relies on 2 permanent employees for help all year round, but also hires 10 extra people to assist him with selectively hand-picking his cherries, during that time of harvest.

In terms of his agenda for the future, Alirio shared his plans with our partners at Cuatro Vientos, aiming to improve his farm’s infrastructure for milling and drying.
